Software Update: May 14th 2026

This update includes a new Nightly Tasks service, refinements to Batch Receiving and coupon discounts, and a broad set of fixes across trade-ins, payments, reservations, inventory, and customer workflows.

New Feature: Nightly Tasks

Grindless can now schedule supported user-initiated tasks to run automatically each night.

This is intended for stores that regularly perform recurring actions, such as:

  • Running Apply Formula functions
  • Updating Trade-In prices using the Update Prices Now button

Due to the nature of this feature, Nightly Tasks must be configured by our support team and are billed as an additional, optional service.

  • Setup fee: $20 per task
  • Modification fee: $10 per task
  • Ongoing cost: $5 per task, per month once configured

Batch Receiving Improvements

The Batch Receiving page has been adjusted to better match common product creation workflows.

  • New products now default to having Product is Taxable enabled.
  • Automatic Price Updates now default to enabled.
  • Track Labels now defaults to enabled.
  • The Override Existing Settings checkbox has been removed from Batch Receiving.

Coupon Discount Precision

  • Coupons now support discounts with up to six decimal places.

Trade-In and BST Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Trade-In History button was not loading.
  • Fixed an issue where the cash drawer could open after a trade-in even when no cash was being issued.
  • Fixed an issue where categories were not properly updating when moved from a BST profile.
  • Fixed an issue where custom platforms in BST could not be used to create new custom items.
  • Fixed an issue where TCGID values were not properly updating records when changed.
  • Fixed an issue with certain cards having their language code set incorrectly.
  • Fixed feedback behavior on the Import BST Stock page.

Payments and Customer Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where payments with a fee incorrectly applied that fee against the remaining balance.
  • Fixed an issue where deactivating a customer created an invalid database entry.
  • Fixed an issue where the Recent Customers table was being reset more frequently than intended.

Employee Shift and Location Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where latitude and longitude coordinates were not being shown for a clocked-in shift.

Reservations and Event Tickets

  • Fixed an issue when creating new reservation types.
  • Fixed an issue with deleting event tickets.

Shipment Receiving and Barcode Fixes

  • Fixed an issue on the Shipment Received page where the barcode field did not highlight properly after scanning.
  • Fixed an issue where deselecting the barcode field on the Shipment Received page could incorrectly increment the received count by one.
  • Fixed an issue where scanning a barcode too early when starting a sale could result in a second sale being started.

Coupon Editor and Price Check Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the date selection pop-up inside the coupon editor.
  • Fixed an issue where SNAPI was not working properly with the Price Check function.

Reports and API Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where colors on the Inventory Count performance report were inaccurate.
  • Fixed an issue where certain API calls were being treated as case sensitive.
